What is Tae Kwon Do?

The word Tae Kwon Do means the way (Do) of striking with hand (kwon) and foot (Tae). This Martial Art from Korea uses the whole body to defend ones-self. As one of the worlds most popular martial arts, Tae Kwon Do was adopted as an official medal sport, in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.

Mondays & Wednesdays

Mixed Adult and Junior Class 7:00– 7:50pm

Open Gym 8:00-9:00

Tuesdays & Thursdays

Juniors (5-12)

All Ranks 4:00 pm-4:50 pm

All Ranks 5:00 pm-5:50 pm

Junior Advanced 6:00 pm-6:50 pm

Weapons class (summer) 6:00 pm

Adults (13-105)

All ranks 8:00 pm-9:00 pm

Fridays

Private lessons after 5:00 pm

Students may join during the first month of any three month session-Spring (March), Summer (June), Fall (September), Winter (December)

Tae Kwon Do Class Fees

1 Student $50/month

2 Student Family $75/month

3 Student Family $95/month

4 Student Family $110/month

Private Lessons $25/Hour

$15/Half hour

Fees are based two classes a week, month to month;

not number of class days in each month. Dues should be paid before the 15^th of every month.

The World Tae Kwon Do Federation

The central governing body of traditional Tae Kwon Do in the world, and headquartered at the Kukkiwon in Seoul, South Korea.  The current President of The WTF is Woon Kyu Uhm.

World Chang Moo Kwan Association

One of eight original, traditional Tae Kwon Do schools formed within the WTF.  It is our root Tae Kwon Do system. Great Grand Master Soon Bae Kim is the current President of the World Chang Moo Kwan Association.

International Black Belt Federation

Founded by our Great Grand Master Instructor, Moo Yong Yun, 10th Degree Certified Black Belt, is the organization of Grand Master Instructors, Master Instructors, Black Belts, and students who train under Great Grand Master Yun and is one of the largest Tae Kwon Do organizations in the country, with schools in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Florida, Washington, and Dulmen, Germany.

Brandt’s Tae Kwon Do Association

We take pride in the fact we are one of 25 branch schools located in Minnesota, North Dakota and Dulmen, Germany, under the direction of founder and President, Grand Master Spencer Brandt and Grandmaster Cindy Brandt. Brandt’s Association is headquartered in Bemidji, MN.  Without them our school would not exist.

Promotion test:

Promotion tests are conducted at the end of each three month session by a Qualified Master (4^th Dan) or Higher instructor.
